MIMPLEX Gas Alarm Panels

Central / Repeater Panels

The Mimplex multiplexed alarm panel continuously monitors medical gas installations. Up to 6 gases can be displayed per panel with 4 Conditions available per gas. The system is easy to operate and install with only 1 pair cable being necessary interconnecting wiring.

The Mimplex Alarm System meets and exceeds the current C11 and HTM2022 specifications.

The Unit also offers:
  • All electronics contained in an attractive, white stove enamelled, robust metal enclosure
  • Access to the panel is via hinged front door with tamperproof screw
  • Panels available for either flush or surface mounting applications
  • Open and Short Circuit indication
  • Mute indication i.e. light illuminates when mute button pressed
  • Volume control, permanent mute button and engineers reset button all easily accessed
  • Each panel has an easy self-check/test procedure

Plant Encoders

Plant Encoders (transmitters) are usually located in the plant room and commonly in the plant to be monitored hence reducing wiring to a minimum.

  • Self Powered from Multiplex
  • Capable of transmitting up to 4 alarm condition

Local/Area Alarm Panel

The Mimplex Local/Area Alarm Panel can monitor up to 6 gas services, each service consisting of 2 conditions.

  • All panel functions are similar to the Central panel including all box dimensions.
  • Individual pressure switches are hard-wired into the panel via End of Line (E.O.L.) Modules which enable open, short circuit or zenner barrier detection.

  • Flexible layout design - new panels can be added anywhere in the system.
  • Up to 84 separate alarm conditions (18 encoders) per system.

Also Available

  • BMS Relay Interface Unit - Board consisting of a bank of 24 normally open/closed relays used for interfacing the system to any external system.
  • Remote Audible - activated by either BMS contacts or audible contacts on Mimplex Panels, mounted in perhaps adjacent corridor to provide enhanced warning.
